"As the year draws to an end East Dorset Friends of the Earth want to take the opportunity to thank the many hundreds of local people that supported the Big Ask campaign to get an effective Climate Change Bill through parliament in November and also those local MPs that voted for it, in particular Lib Dem MP Annette Brooke that, unlike some, supported the Bill from the start and pushed for the 80 per cent reduction in emissions that was finally agreed.

"Without this support it would not have happened so thank you all. I hope we can rely on your continued support to ensure that the right decisions are made by both central and local government because without this the bill will be meaningless."

If you are a resident of the constituency and are writing to discuss any issue that Parliament or government is responsible for, you must provide your home address as MPs are generally only permitted to act on behalf of constituents.

If you are not a constituent, you do not need to provide your address, but the matters we can deal with are more limited and you may wish to contact your local MP in the first instance.
