Annette Brooke has been selected by charity Action for Children for their 'Celebrity Journey' exhibition to help raise awareness of the complex and difficult journeys that thousands of the most vulnerable children make every day.
Annette pledged her support for the campaign following her own experience with bullying as a youngster: 'As a child I was badly bullied, and it took a long time for my self confidence and sense of self worth to recover. My early career was very affected by this and I wanted my drawing to illustrate how you can recover, confidence can grow and everyone can succeed.'
A plethora of famous celebrities also took part in the exhibition paving out their route to success including; Joanna Lumley, Rod Stewart, Amir Khan and Ronnie Corbett.
Annette recognises the reputable work Action for Children do in supporting children: ''It is so important to remember the hardships we faced as children; what low self esteem, bullying and a difficult family environment can do to wreck a happy childhood. Action for Children is there for those who need them during these times.'
