Local Liberal Democrats have selected Vikki Slade to fight the next general election and be our next MP.
Vikki is currently the leader of the Liberal Democrats on BCP Council and has lived in the constituency for over 20 years with her husband and four
older children.
She knows almost every inch of our part of Dorset and is a well known face in the local area. From chairing Broadstone Neighbourhood Watch, organising hugely successful Fun Days and markets to leading the local Youth Club - she is embedded in the community and so understands the needs of local people.
Time after time she has demonstrated integrity and strength, standing up for her residents and fighting for what is right.
She is also a Govenor for a school in East Dorset, has campaigned for environmental issues in Purbeck and has represented the wider Dorset area in a range of organisations.
As an experienced campaigner, Vikki has strong ties with regional media and you will often see her on the BBC1 Politics Show, hear her on Radio Solent or read her columns in local magazines.
We know from experience that the Lib Dems can win but only with the right combination of a strong, local candidate; a broad policy platform and high visibility on the ground as well as through social media and on our screens. Vikki does all this.
Our voice is not being heard in Westminster, Vikki is the local champion we need - someone with passion and determination to fight for better services and brighter futures.
Vikki will make sure our part of Dorset gets a better, fairer deal and do what it takes to win back this seat at the next General Election.
