Colehill and Wimborne East
Jindy Atwal
Jindy has lived in the Wimborne area for the past 20 years along with her two children. Jindy is a secondary teacher who is passionate about education and child care provision, with almost 20 years’ experience in the profession.
Being a teacher, Jindy has gained valuable first-hand knowledge of the needs of our children and the challenges faced by our teachers. Her passion for making a difference to the lives of children and young people and her experience in the classroom means Jindy is bringing a new approach to the Council.
Jindy is incredibly motivated about giving back to the community. She loves rolling up her sleeves and getting involved in helping to make the local area a better place - from litter picks to tree planting, she is enjoys getting involved in improving Colehill!
Each year Jindy participates in a 100km+ hike in the local area to raise money for the Eve Appeal, a cancer research charity, and is in support of the Lib Dem two-month cancer treatment guarantee which will ensure cancer patients will receive treatment shortly after their diagnosis.
In her spare time, you can find Jindy out and about in our lovely countryside taking long hikes, cycles and runs. She loves listening to live music and ventures to as many concerts as she can.
