NHS dentistry is in crisis. 

In Dorset alone, millions of pounds have reportedly gone unspent or been removed from a supposedly ringfenced dentistry budget, while patients face worsening access to care, reduced urgent appointments, and growing waiting lists. With funding failing to reach frontline dental services despite increasing need, urgent action is needed to ensure that money allocated for NHS dentistry is spent only on dentistry.

Appoint a Young Carers Champion in every School in England

Vikki Slade MP has launched a national campaign calling on the Government to require every school in England to appoint a dedicated Young Carers Champion. Backed by a public petition, the campaign would ensure every school has a trained staff member responsible for identifying and supporting young carers, many of whom remain unidentified despite taking on significant caring responsibilities. With schools facing increased pressure to support young carers following changes to the Ofsted inspection framework, campaigners say support still varies widely. The petition aims to ensure young carers are identified earlier and can access support both inside and outside the classroom.
