Vikki Slade elected as leader of BCP Council

Following an incredible set of election results across the three towns, Councillor Vikki Slade has been elected to become the leader of BCP Council.
The recent BCP elections saw a surge of support for the Liberal Democrats, with the party gaining an impressive 15 seats on the council. This result makes them the largest party in the council by far, with 28 councillors in total to the Conservative's 12.
It is clear that Cllr Mellor’s resignation has been a long time coming following a series of unforgivable financial decisions from the Conservatives that have saddled residents with mounting debt and wasted huge sums of tax-payers money on ‘dodgy deals’ and vanity projects
